Lisa Harris Boyd
Founder, Luxury Travel Advisor
Specialties: Family travel, Independent travel, Celebration and Bucket List trips; specifically Hawaii, Caribbean, Italy and France
Lisa spent her summers as a child traveling with her parents whose philosophy was to live in the moment and never put off a goal, especially when it came to travel. Having completed his goal of visiting all 50 states, Lisa’s dad passed away at age 53 after a battle with brain cancer.
Now as a mom, Lisa tries to instill the same philosophy in her three daughters. Sadly, as fate would have it, her first husband passed away at age 45 also from brain cancer. Lisa knows first-hand how short life is and how precious time can be with the ones you love.
Her mission is to inspire people to take the trips that they dream of before it’s too late. Lisa founded Life Is Short Adventures after a 25-year career in advertising as a way to encourage and assist others in taking better advantage of their time by creating lasting memories through travel.
Lisa has been to all 50 states, including all six of the main Hawaiian islands, 36 countries and counting. She believes that travel has the power to change lives and cultivate new experiences and she can’t wait to share her passion with you.
Anna Kathryn (AK) Gresham
Luxury Travel Advisor
Specialties: Family Travel, Europe, Honeymoons, Wine Country Trips
AK did not travel much as a child, but always had a desire to see the world. She caught the travel bug at age 26 on her first trip to Europe and quickly realized the importance of travel and how it opens your eyes to the world around you. After a trip to Denver in 2013, AK packed up and moved out west where she met her husband 5 days later. They now live in Birmingham, AL and share a love for travel which they have passed on to their two young children.
AK has been to 42 states and 13 countries and counting. Whether you want to see all 63 national parks or visit all 7 continents, she would love to make that dream a reality for you.
As Mark Twain once said: “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.”
