Knowledge and experience: We plan trips every day and have the experience to ask the questions you didn’t think to ask to build the perfect itinerary based on your personal preferences and expectations. We also have first-hand knowledge of most destinations and if we don’t, we know other travel advisors or local suppliers who do.
More value for your money: while we don’t price shop to find the lowest prices, we provide our clients with more value for their money by receiving VIP status and extra perks at our more than 4,000 preferred partner hotels around the world providing you with a better value than if you booked the same trip yourself.
We make it easy: All Life Is Short Adventures itineraries are provided in a colorful and easy to use GPS-enabled app that makes traveling easy. No need for papers and no need to search your emails or a variety of apps for your travel details. We also help you navigate the requirements and restrictions for your destination(s) and provide you with tips for visiting each one.
Relationships: Life Is Short Adventures spends a significant amount of time meeting and cultivating relationships with hotels and local tour and service providers around the world. Our relationships with hotel owners, general managers, sales managers and tour operators make VIP treatment possible for our clients.
Technology: Behind the scenes, we use a booking system that searches and compares all flights and hotels worldwide at one time and can narrow choices based on price, location, quality or brand to easily find the best solutions for your preferences. We also build all final itineraries in a GPS-enabled app which makes traveling a breeze.

We charge a fee because we are experts in our field and our knowledge, relationships, time and advice is valuable. We pride ourselves on working with hotels, suppliers, and vendors regardless of their commission structure and focus instead on your desires and preferences to design the ideal trip for you.

We book both commercial and private charter flights as part of comprehensive trip planning, but do not book commercial flights alone without other services. We use a booking system that searches all domestic and international flight options at one time, making it easy to find the best flight for you whether your priority is on flight schedule or price. We also have an extensive network of suppliers that can offer flights as part of a trip package. Regardless of how we book your flight, we’re alerted when and if your flight schedule changes and communicate those changes to you and keep your itinerary up-to-date.
We are not able to assist with booking flights using points or credits.

Yes, Life Is Short Adventures has a large network of villa, condo and rental home partners around the world. We only work with reputable and accredited local suppliers who visit and maintain the quality of their product, and therefore don’t book Airbnb or VRBO properties.

Absolutely. Trip insurance is an important part of travel planning and we do recommend it for most trips to protect your investment. We have multiple plans that we can quote depending on your trip details and needs. While we are not insurance agents and can’t legally answer specific questions about policy coverage, insurance covers situations like trip cancellation, travel delays and unexpected illness.

We are currently hiring for a Travel Assistant who has extreme attention-to-detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
